Privacy policy

This policy describes how this private Message Vault installation handles Google user data. The installation has one user: its operator.

Effective 7 October 2026

Data accessed

The installation requests read-only Gmail access. It retrieves the operator’s messages, attachments, headers, metadata, and labels so they can be archived and searched. It does not request permission to send, modify, or delete Gmail messages.

Use of data

Google user data is used only to provide the operator with a private email backup, reading interface, and search index. It is not used for advertising, profiling, or training shared machine-learning models.

Storage and access

Archived data is stored on privately operated infrastructure. Access to the archive is authenticated and limited to the operator. This public information site does not expose any archived content and uses no analytics, tracking scripts, cookies, or user accounts.

Sharing

Google user data is not sold, rented, or shared with advertisers, data brokers, or other users. It is not transferred to third parties except as necessary for Google to provide the Gmail API itself.

Retention and deletion

Data is retained for as long as the operator maintains the private archive. The operator can delete the local archive at any time. Revoking the application under Google Account permissions stops future access; it does not automatically erase the already-created local backup.

Google API Services User Data Policy

This installation’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
